Hello AFS'ers,

Thanx you'all for the replies on my question about fms on a 8500.
Here are the results from the Dutch jury (me) for those interested,
but I think I'm using the wrong kind of tape or something else
went funky because the output looks like a 8200.

Environment: AFS 3.2 - SunOS 4.1.3
                         Sparcstation 2 - Exabyte EXB-8500 8mm Helical Scan
                         BASF 8 mm video 120

Output from fms: (started at 13:00 - ended at 18:37 pretty short)

fms test started
wrote 142659 blocks
Tape capacity is 2337325056 bytes
File marks are 2205407 bytes

Taking 10% decrease on tape size makes 2103592550
Taking 10% increase on EOF marker makes 2425948

Got a nice error code when it ended:
st2: Error for command 'write file mark', Error Level: 'Fatal'
                Block: 1 File Number: 1051
                Sense Key: Volume Overflow
                End-of-Media Detected
Seems OK?
So why does everybody has 4G? Gotta use a 240 tape then?
(the sysop is checking his UNIX dump tapes now to see how much
he is getting on there)
