AFS & NFS on Sun 3

I have a Sun 3/160 running SunOS 4.1.1 on which I recently installed AFS.
I also NFS mount 2 partitions, and NFS export 2 partitions.
After installing AFS, I can still mount NFS partitions, but when I export
NFS partitions, as soon as something tries to mount from my machine, it
panics, dumps and reboots. As long as I don't export anything,
or mount when I export I'm fine. Is NFS exporting broke in AFS
for Sun 3, SunOS 4.1.1, or am I just unlucky?
