The Authentication Server portion of the "AFS Programmer's Reference
Manual" is now available in DVI and PostScript format in the
grand.central.org cell. For users with AFS access, the .dvi and .ps
files reside in
/afs/grand.central.org/pub/doc/afs/specs/progint/asrv
For users with only anonymous FTP capabilities, access host
grand.central.org (IP address 192.54.226.100), and pull the files over
from:
pub/doc/afs/specs/progint/asrv
Descriptions of the other AFS servers remain unchanged in the following
directories under "progint":
archov Overview
bsrv BOS Server
fscm File Server/Cache Manager
psrv Protection Server
rx Rx RPC Facility
vvl Volume Server and Volume Location Server
The complete "AFS Programmer's Reference Manual" is also available for
purchase in hardcopy form. In the near future, Transarc will be sending
a hardcopy version of the Authentication Server portion to the current
primary site contact at each AFS site that previously received the
Manual in hardcopy. If you have questions or want us to send the
