On an RS6000 running AIX 3.2 and AFS 3.2, we've noticed what appears to be disk leakage problems when invoking "vos move ...". For example, our partition allocation was as follows before invoking the "vos move" command: partition free space --------- ---------- /vicepa 200 Mbytes /vicepb 17 Mbytes After moving a 100 Mbyte volume via "vos move" from /vicepb to /vicepa, our partition allocation became the following: partition free space --------- ---------- /vicepa 52 Mbytes /vicepb 54 Mbytes Hence, about 111 Mbytes(48 from /vicepa, 63 from /vicepb) of total free disk space disappeared. Both the unix command "df" and "vos partinfo" confirm that only 106 Mbytes of total disk space is free after moving the volume. However, invoking "vos listvol" and the unix command "du" indicate that much more space should be free. Has anyone already encountered this problem, and does anyone have any ideas regarding a solution? Thanks in advance, Mike Barnett([EMAIL PROTECTED])
