No daemons, so what breaks ?

All right, there is life beyond 25 hours with reauth.

But I can't compile reauth for two reasons: no development toolkit with AFSlibs
and security forbids me to use foreign source unless I' m willing to support
it myself.  If this can be solved I can start using a fairly
full featured system with AFS.

But what if I can't?  What features of the UNIX OS (AIX in particular) are
you not using because of this restriction?
