heterogenous collection of systems, networked over three buildings, and

We currently attempt to provide a "seamless" computing environment using
NFS filesystems, with automatic "amd" mounting.
I am investigating the possibility of using AFS throughout the College
of Engineering, and need information both technical and sales, (pricing
for purchase, and any annual software maintenance).
We generally do not need the "handholding" kind of support, but do wish
to have access to technically competent folk (by email or phone) when a
critical problem occurs for which we remain stumped for more than a few
days (extremely rare, actually).
