All- It seems that the fix for the translator silently truncating files has caused a new problem. The new problem being that when you try to write a file that is larger than your cache size, the client machine locks up. I've built a fix for this problem and testing thus far looks positive. I've sent this fix to several IBM customers who have also done testing. The fix involves installing new kernel extensions. This problem is specific to AIX only. Contact your AFS Product Support Rep if you have received new kernel extensions since the AFS 3.2a release. These new kernel extensions may include this bug. Let me know if you need my help. Regards- Kathy
