A couple months ago I was able to doctor up our X11R4 version
of xdm to authenticate with AFS, etc -- thanks to a number
of subscribers to this list. Now I have noticed that while
I am able to get xdm to authenticate with AFS (on RS/6000's),
the various limits are not being set as they should. The old
xdm code (prior to AFS modifications) was able to set the
limits correctly.

Below are the limits I get if I login at the console:

rers07$ ulimit -a
time(seconds) unlimited
file(blocks) 2097151
data(kbytes) 131072
stack(kbytes) 32768
memory(kbytes) 32768
coredump(blocks) 2048

Below are the limits I get if I login from xdm:

rers07$ ulimit -a
time(seconds) unlimited
file(blocks) 2097150
data(kbytes) 131072
stack(kbytes) 65536
memory(kbytes) 32768
coredump(blocks) 262144

Can anyone out there tell me where in the xdm code these
limits are being set? How can I get xdm to set the limits
the same as on the console?

Thanks,
Hope Goering
