independent of size, what *would* you want to access like a file?
in a perfect world. -:)

i don't know what's worse ... accessing a 2GB+ object like a file trying
to fish out some some data, or doing ftells() and fseeks() in a 2K object
looking for the next "Received:".  Like a lot of you just did.

we're already on the slippery slope.

why do we do that?  anybody out there with their mailbox in oracle
or anything else they can't cat?
