Well, it isn't running on a Sparc for one (pmax_ul4). If I were
trying, I'd use statically linked binaries for ls so that you don't
have to mess around with the dynamic loader and /dev/zero. You can't
put devices in AFS.
ftp.uu.net:/systems/unix/bsd-sources/bin/ls
is source for the BSD variant. It'll probably require a little porting
effort.
