Hi,
My hard disk including both AFS cache (/usr/vice/cache) and AFS volume (/vicepa)
has crashed and I replaced it by a new disk.
Fortunately the broken disk did not contain any important data, but
/usr/vice/etc/afsd does not work and I cannot see /afs directory.
My system is SparcStation 1 (SunOS 4.1.1 GENERIC #1) running AFS 3.2.
What I did is (approximately):
- newfs and mounted /usr/vice/cache and /vicepa
- comment out afsd in /etc/rc.local
- in order to re-create cache,
# /usr/vice/etc/afsd -nosettime & <- we are using disk cache
afsd: All AFS daemons started.
afsd: Can't mount AFS on /afs(60)
# ls /afs
ls: /afs: Connection timed out
- So I tried a lot of things, such as,
# vos syncvldb etlrwc -cell etl.go.jp -v
# vos syncserv etlrwc -cell etl.go.jp -v
Does anyone tell me what I should do?
Before disk crash, AFS were running correctly.
Thanks in advance.
