Yes, it is. PC-Interface server is distributed with AIX, but it is most
likely version 4.1.x, which is missing several significant features, such
as pop-up messaging, hierarchical host group maps, password encoding, etc.
While the 5.0 PC-Interface client is compatible with this server, these key
features will not work.

The version of PC-Interface server included with AIX 3.x is not AFS aware,
but an AFS-aware version, version 5.0.2, can be obtained from Transarc.
