This is called "encoding implementation details in the user interface,"
and is usually frowned upon.  Unfortunately, that's water under the
bridge.  Spilt milk, and all that.

It is possible to enforce one requirement in the body of the code,
without enforcing it in the "cmd" package itself. Again, it's bad form
to make people's lives any harder than necessary simply because of
internal implementation details :-(
