Should you come across examples of commands which don't return
meaningful return statuses, please let Transarc know by reporting them
through the normal AFS Product Support channels. I understand that
this is an annoying problem and we're certainly willing to correct the
commands when such mistakes are pointed out.
We've already made repairs to "tokens", "up", "fs rmmount", "kas
create", "kas delete", and at least parts of the "pts" suite. In AFS
3.4, these commands will return non-zero values to indicate failure.
If you know of any others that are wrong, send us enough details so
that we can reproduce the failure ourselves.
Sorry, but sending mail directly to me or to the Info-AFS list will
not necessarily have any effect. You'll need to have your site
contact submit them to AFS Product Support so that they can be
properly submitted as defects and fixed in the next major release.
