I am trying to build aklog for HP-UX 9.01 for use with AFS 3.3. I have a clean
compile but one load error. Attempting to run the program results is a
segmentation fault.

I've done some more work with a debugger and I believe that while the load
problem may cause difficulties later, it is not the cause of the segment
fault.

What I've found is that the program failure occurs in the AFS routine

        pr_SNameToId (username, &viceid)

which is defined in .../lib/afs/libprot.a

Running aklog with "-d" yields:

[butler@dwarf .../aklog] ./aklog -d
Authenticating to cell es.dupont.com.

About to resolve name butler to id
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

This result tends to make me think that this is a Transarc problem but I
thought I'd see if I've done anything really stupid before giving them a call.

Am I doing anything obviously bogus?
