What does fsync(2) do for files in AFS (afs33a)? Does it
return after the file has been written to the cache (but not
necessarily server) or after the file has been written to the server?
The afs faq states that close and fsync will cause the client
to write back to the server, but it is not clear to me what one can
assume has happened by the time the functions return (versus what
should happen if the server, client, and network are functioning
properly in the future.)

In an unrelated question, are there any plans for the AFS
headers to contain the library function declarations?

                    Yours,
                            Larry Schwimmer
