Special Devices in AFS

Hi there,

is there a possibility to create special devices, such as named pipes
in AFS?

We tried the following:

% pwd
/afs/afs-math.zib-berlin.de/user/adminafs
% /etc/mknod test p
% ls -l test
-rw-r--r--   1 adminafs afs            0 Jan 12 10:48 test
% /etc/mknod /tmp/test p
% ls -l /tmp/test
prw-r--r--   1 adminafs afs            0 Jan 12 10:49 /tmp/test
