The NIS+ documentation (nistbladm man page, in particular) suggests an
upper limit for the size of the NIS+ database:

"NIS+ design is optimitzed to support 10,000 objects with a total size of
10M bytes."

Does anyone have any experience with large NIS+ DB's?

We currently have approx. 7,000 objects and 3MB, but that will grow
to about 30,000 objects (and about 12MB).

How badly does NIS+ performance degrade? Or does it just roll over and die?
What will best help such a situation?
  Large amounts of RAM?
  More/faster CPU?
  PrestoServe?

Thanks, and I'll summarize.
