I'm currently working on one of the versions that can be found
in transarc's AFS space (specifically RPI's) and trying to fix a
problem. Under AIX 3.2 (we're running 3.2.5, but this is true
for older ones, too) the ka_UserAuthenticateGeneral call will only
receive at most 16 PAGs before just deciding to take a vacation.
Digging through the 3.3a source, the login source code looks almost
identical to the XDM code we're using, but login works and XDM
doesn't. Note that this is NOT 16 simultaneous PAGs, rather 16
PAGs at all. Are there any OS/platform dependencies that I'm
probably missing? This version of XDM works flawlessly on our
Sun SparcStations, but doesn't last more than 16 logins on our
RS/6K's
