Hi,
this is not a real AFS question, but it is related to it.
I'm about to develop a set of default files (.profile, .kshrc,
/etc/profile) which should work with ksh on a number of different
systems (e.g. AIX, IRIX, HPUX, OSF1, Ultrix, Solaris and Sun
OS). Problems to be solved are:
 - Find out on what system am I?
 - Which paths are needed?
 - How to set up $TERM
 - How to set up $DISPLAY?
 - What .Xdefaults and .mwmrc to use?
We are using AFS and so in most cases the same .profile and .kshrc is run
on different machines.
Has anyone done some work in this area and would be as kind as to
share the results with me?
Thanks in advance
Gerhard
