We run AFS 3.3a here at CTC with a bank of 6 ASX-200s with three AFS servers.
we are soley SGI based with the exception that we are using a SUN Sparc 20 as
an AFS to PC Translator.

Presently AFS does not support dual homed servers. Although I realized that
your servers are not dual homed (ATM and ethernet), are you routing between
subnets? I have had similar problems when routing between networks as well as
subnets.
