The reason for the change is simple: the transfer rate of UniTree over NFS is too slow for backup of large amount of data. This is not caused by insufficient resources of the fileserver. Are these servers on a high speed network like fddi? What is the window size? Some months ago we have also considered PSC's MR AFS. Is MR AFS any relation to ms-dos?
