The info-afs mailing list is maintained by Transarc to aid AFS users
and interested parties in sharing information related to AFS.
Subscription to info-afs is not limited in any way, and posts to
info-afs are not monitored or refereed. Please note that the audience
may be huge, as some subscriptions are publicly-readable bboards at
AFS sites.
Transarc regards info-afs as a means for AFS users to share
information and get questions answered by other AFS users. It is not
meant to be a communications mechanism into Transarc Customer Support.
Transarc provides mechanisms for AFS customers to contact Customer
Support through the designated contact(s) at each customer site. If
you believe that you have found a problem or defect in AFS, please
report it to Transarc Customer Support through the official
mechanisms.
Transarc does occasionally use info-afs as a means of disseminating
information about AFS. This includes postings about release
plans, release availability, and AFS User Group notices.
Periodically, individuals within Transarc may choose to respond to
postings to info-afs. In such cases, they are doing this as
individuals; no individuals at Transarc are assigned to monitoring the
info-afs posts and responding to them.
