We're running it on a limited scale (as we continue to change our system
over to AFS. The one part of Mentor that had to be customised to run
under AFS was that Mentor has a set of fonts that it needs to load to run.
Fonts are loaded by the X server (we're running VUE btw). The X server runs
as root. Root, naturally, does not have a token.
So what does this mean? Well if your fonts (and the parent directorie(s))
are not readable to system:anyuser (or by some other method -- we go by
IP address for the fonts, then the X server can't load the fonts for Mentor.
If you change things so that system:anyuser or the like can read the font
files, Mentor should work. (It does for us -- well it appears to work in
any case :) ).
It appears to be running well now.
