Greetings, This is my first post to this server. Forgive me if this question has already been answered. I would like to know for a SUN 4mm 5Gig tape what is a good value for the "EOF marker size"? The documentation (chapter 6 page 12 System Administrator's Guide) says not to run the FMS utiltiy on data compressing tape drives. OK. It says to jack up the value of the tape size "substantially". It says nothing concerning the "EOF marker size" value. This seems to me to be a odd parameter at best. Does this make any difference at all? Help! I flunked mind reading.
