Brian,

I tried it (with nrt) and it didn't work out to well.  Rambling off
the top of my head, which I often do, we found that although the AFS
port #'s (in the 700 range) are well known, there are other port #'s
(> 1024 I think) that were being randomly used.  These lower port #'s
were being used for things such as klog, etc.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.
