We run 2 Gig caches on our anonymouns ftp servers.  They work great.
We limit the number of cache slots to 10k to keep the directory
(usr/vice/cache) from getting too slow.

It sure would be nice if Transarc fixed their file system layout so
that you didn't pay such a wicked penalty for having lots of cache
slots...
