Ken Hornstein has written a program "dumptool" which is part of MR-AFS
and does more or less what you ask for. With dumptool you can
interactively go through the file-tree in the "vos dump"-File and copy
files which are contained in the dump to a path you can specify. This
tool should work also with standard AFS dumps because they are just a
subset of what MR-AFS knows.
