I'd say that it should be at least in sync with IBM AFS to keep
compatibility as much as possible...

Subject: OpenAFS: conventions for new @sys? (rs_aix43 s390_linux22)
Dear AFS Folks,
I am looking at OpenAFS src/config/afs_sysnames.h
and I see that there are all the Transarc defined
@sys names. For example:
#define SYS_NAME_ID_i386_linux2 1500
#define SYS_NAME_ID_i386_linux22 1501
It seems to me that any new @sys definitions
should be agreed across the AFS community
and not just chosen at random?
I would like to propose:
#define SYS_NAME_ID_rs_aix43 704
#define SYS_NAME_ID_s390_linux22 1504
Are these OK?
Is there a process for defining new @sys?
