CVS edit marker stays in repository

Hello CVS users,

using CVS 1.10 with the "cvs watch on" feature for getting the checked
out
files as read only, I must see that sometimes the edit entry/marker 
in the repository stays after a "cvs unedit" or "CVS commit". 
As a result "cvs editors" list still the file as being edited.

Currently, as workarround I could perform an additional 
"cvs edit" & "cvs unedit" sequence to remove the wrong setting.

Does anybody know a solution for this bug?
