As another followup to your query suggests, this is probably _not_ a
terrific idea.

However if in your environment you are simply using LDAP as a
YP/NIS-like thing then you're best off to use it that way right to the
core of the Unix server's authentication and authorisation.  That way
you won't have to do anything stupid to CVS.
