I don't care if you or anyone else thinks its necessary or not (though
you're clearly wrong in your claim above -- there are only about three
or four people expressing that though, and at least three of them would
argue that up is down if I said it wasn't because they argue against
everything I say regardless).  It is absolutely critical for my proposal
and is one of its central features of the "standard" user interface and
I will not drop it unless someone can prove that it can cause damage
under normal circumstances.  If you can't offer such proof then go take
a hike.  If you don't like it then don't use it.  If you can't see why
it's necessary then either think harder or just shut up and forget about
it.  I've explained it now a dozen times or more.  I cannot explain it
in any different way because I've exhausted all the possibilities and
then repeated them at least twice.  I suspect you'll understand it once
you use it, and if not then that's just too bad.
