It does present an interesting conundrum, because while your
viewpoint has merit, a lot of people like to have multiple
versions installed, which requires versioning the dll.
You can get the reg key from:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Scriptics\Tcl
The "Scriptics" part is lame, because MS says you should
have a company name in that part. It has also been "SunScript".
