Hi,
This is my set up:
I have a CVS 1.10 pserver set up on a Solaris 7 system. Individual users
each have CVS 1.10 clients installed on their NT boxes.
Everything has been working perfectly for a long time. Recently however
we are encountering an error which appears to be occuring randomly (but
quite frequently) after a cvs update...
RCS file: /export/home/cvs-repository/mymodule/MyFile.java,v
retrieving revision 1.3
retrieving revision 1.4
Merging differences between 1.3 and 1.4 into MyFile.java
cvs server: write error
cvs server: subsidiary diff failed
Once a file has failed subsequent cvs updates also fail, until you
manually sort out the problem. I cannot think of any changes that we
have made to our system that might explain this behaviour.
Has anyone ever encountered this before? I have searched the docs but
can't find any mention of this. Does anyone know wat this error means?
Many thanks,
Matt
