cvs time stamp?

I've been using cvs-1.10.6.  For some reason, the time stamp on the files
in the repository are off, usually some time in the future.  I'm using
WinCVS as well as command line cvs on Linux for committing files.  Thanks
for any insight.  BTW, the clocks on server and clients are correct.
