Actually, the problem is that Sun's default id command is ancient;
please make sure that /usr/xpg4/bin is in your path before /usr/bin so
that you get reasonably standard versions of commands.  Note that this
is just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak; you'll probably find that
other commands are not sufficient for the CVS test suite as well.  In
particular, the id failure does *not* explain why basica-notadded
failed.  Please read TESTS if you haven't already done so.
