cvs upgrade

Hello,

I'm very new to CVS and Linux but am in the process of setting a Linux
server along with CVS.  I have RedHat6.2 installed along with CVS-1.10.7.  I
want to upgrade to CVS-1.10.8 but can't find documentation on how to do it.
Can someone point me to the right direction?  I guess what I'm trying to
figure out is how to install something that's not already packaged using
RedHat RPM.  What I don't want to end up doing is to have two copies of CVS
on my system.
