Hello all,

As I have mentioned in a few previous posts, OpenAvenue has been
planning on hiring a developer to work on the CVS source code. I am
happy to say we have hired Derek Price, a community member and fellow
coder.

Some of you may recognize Derek, as over the last three years Derek
has frequently both lurked and annoyed =) the other users of the cvs-
info email list with email as both [EMAIL PROTECTED] &
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Derek is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with
over five years of experience in the software industry. He has used
CVS for almost three years now and administered it for two. He did a
short stint as a contractor at Cyclic software, during which time
many of his changes were incorporated into the CVS executable and has
at other times contributed to CVS related tools such as the
pvcs2rcs.pl script. Derek has also provided independent CVS
consulting services at various times in the past.

Derek's first priority is going to be getting anonymous and developer
access to the CVS source repository back up, enabling nightly
testing, getting some of the outstanding patches tested and checked
in, and getting some of the other old Cyclic resources back on the
web.

So, if you see his posts on the newsgroups, feel free to say hi and
make any suggestions you might have. Until then, be seeing you...
