Hi Mark,

>Why are we having a button for launching an editor again?
<snip>

It is NOT, I repeat: IT IS NOT OBLIGATORY TO PUSH THE BUTTON :)
The button is there, but you can use your other editor already open or
whatever. Just ignore the button! The point of the change is to:
1. Get rid of some oddities of RichEdit control,
2. Get the Right-click menu back, so you can paste the text from another
editor (or bug tracking system in my case) without using the keyboard. (I
used to have the left hand busy holding the can of coke or something like
that and found it annoying to have to put it down just to press Ctrl+v,
while the right hand is already holding the mouse to click the commit button
:)

Editor was supposed to help with formating in case the log window is not
good enought (proportional fonts etc.) and you don't have one running
already.

Right.

>but again,

Right. You answered youself.

There is another way:
1. I leave the RichEdit as it is and just duplicate the right-click menu.
2. I make it wilder for the guys who needs to have 60 or 80 chars there.

But I thought that it is good to get it to be a normal, multiline edit
box... The editor idea came up to help with formating...
And if we leave RichEdit it will still have some bugs (seem to remember some
bug entry about the selections - it is RichEdit bug, can not fix :(

>From the other hand, if I duplicate the r-click menu I could make it better
than the default one, with the icons etc.

BR,
Jerzy

The first thing they don't teach you at school: "Never say never".
All the issues not related to the list please send to me in private, thanks.
