Why does the first command below work and the second does not?
   cvs status ..\dir\file.ext      // works
   cvs status ..\..\dir\file.ext   // fails -- why?


Client (NTW 4.0) uses cvs.exe from WinCVS 1.1b13
Server is cvs version 1.10.5 on Rad Hat Linux 6
