I'm hoping one of you experienced WinCVS users can help me out with this
problem. I searched the CVS FAQ and tried some of the suggestions for
recovery in a related topic I found there but, so far, no luck.

I was checking some files into the CVSRoot when I lost my connection to the
server where the root resides. After my connection was restored, there was
a lock (which I removed before launching CVS again). Most of the files
were successfully committed but there is one new file which had been added
and which was in the process of being committed when the connection was
lost. Every time I try to commit this new file, I get an application
error. In trying to troubleshoot this problem, I removed the file (using
"cvs remove"). I can see it in the Attic. I can add it back without any
problem but when I try to commit it, the error occurs and CVS shuts down.
I would greatly appreciate any advice you can provide if you have
encountered this kind of problem before. Thanks very much.
