This is starting to seem like a FAQ...  Yes, but in a number of cases,
empty directories get pruned, so you need *some* file there.  If this
directory should remain empty except for building etc., making a
.cvsignore with contents of '*' will make CVS ignore any files that might
be there, when, for example, performing an update or status.  Otherwise,
someone said it was conventional to make a '.keepme' file.
