Hello.
I was asked to find a way of configuring CVS on Win95.
not really understanding how it worked at the time I
tried to follow
step by step the manual instructions.
I managed to checkout files, ( from a unix server ) but
when I tried to commit, after editing the log and saving
it, I got an error message.
I pasted some of my steps and the error:
[ I wrote this at the MS-DOS prompt of Win95 ]
C:\cvshome>cvs login
<logging in to liat@pegasus>
C:\cvshome\>cd orek
C:\cvshome\orek>cvs -q upd
M try
A user.bat
C:\cvshome\orek>cvs commit
CVS.EXE commit: Examining .
I don't know what kind of terminal you are on - all I
have is 'unknown'.
[Using open mode]
"/tmp/cvsAAAaaenia" 25 lines, 687 characters
cvs server: warning: editor session failed
TITLE:
Log message unchanged or not specified
a>bort, c>ontinue, e>dit, !>reuse this message unchanged
for remaining dirs
cvs server: cannot read from stdin: No such file or directory
cvs [server aborted]: aborting
Action: < continue >
CVS.EXE commit: saving log message in C:\windows\temp\10
_the end_
I have a feeling its something stupid, but I don't know
enough on either unix nor msdos not cvs to figure it
out quickly by myself.
thank you :)
Liat.
