I have set up a CVS server on Red Hat linux6.2.
1.After logging from the remote client(windows NT) i do a import of my test files.It says as follows
C:\mydir>cvs import -m "initial import" myproj1 ashok start
CVS server: cannot open /root/.cvsignore: Permission denied
N myproj1/confdefs.h
N myproj1/getopt.c
No conflicts created by this import
It creates the directory and the files in the repository
2. When i do a checkout it says
C:\mydir\new>cvs co myproj
CVS server: cannot open /root/.cvsignore: Permission denied
CVS [server aborted]: can't chdir(/root): Permission denied
What is the reason for this?what permission do i have to set?
