As long as your clients to the repository are *always* the same type
(either Un*x, or Windows(/Mac ?)), you should be safe with this option.

But, I guess, it might be slow for network traffic... ;] And it does not
necessarily support the future :)

What I would try to find out, is whether you can have the NT box mount
the Repository volume once a night, and just back that up as well...
This would give you the chance of having a single machine involved in
the CVS Server Part.
