Trouble with pserver setup

Hi,

I went through the procedures to set up pserver on a system with solaris
7.   I get the following results:

(Logging in to user@hostname)
CVS password:   password
cvs [login aborted]: connect to hostname:2401 failed: Connection refused

Does anyone have any suggestions for troubleshooting?
