I say this not to imply that CVS can't share modules, but to point out that
it's often better done this way for maintainability reasons.  Sometimes app2
can't just pick up the changes made to the module that are suitable for
app1; it's nice to be able to allow individual applications to decide when
and where to "upgrade" to the latest version of your module.
