Dear CVS people,

maybe youve heard about the lack of computer proffesionals in Germany
and the efforts of the government and the industry to promote new ways
of education to fill the gap. I am one of the lucky ones who hasbeen
given the chance to make a living out of my hobby and its only afew
months until I will pass my final exams. One part of the final exam is
to present a computer-/software-/whatever-techie-related project to a
group of professors and business people. Therefore I am forced tothink
of a project to deal with. As I heard a presentation on CVS at the
LinuxTag in Stuttgart a few weeks ago, I am more and more convinced that
I want to deal with that exact topic. My plan is now to set up a CVS
based system to organize an upcoming software project (with Linux) to be
later used by a group of maybe 3 to 5 programmers (which includes myself
- if I pass the exam ;-). As I read the manuals and the available
documentation on CVS I got the impression that setting up CVS might be a
bit tricky, although using it seems quite easy. At this point of time I
have no idea what amount of time this project might take (I am supposed
to work 35-70 hours on it), or what extensions might be added to CVS to
fulfill the task of providing the infrastructure to manage a large
software project. Any suggestions, experiences welcome!

Michel
