One of my design goals however is to avoid patching cvs. So if and when cvs gets an official release where that behavior is incorporated, I'll cheer loudly. Of course if cvs moves to a different tempdir algorithm, as you note, then this export becomes rather pointless. All of this, of course, is to let the various *info scripts communicate with each other; this problem would go away with a completely revised trigger mechanism. Cheers, Laird
