Use unix.  FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris, etc.  Trust me, much less
pain that way.  Consider the cost of frustration, and of paying a person
to manage (and/or fix) when problems arrise as well, before you say that
a Sun costs too much...
